Wednesday, February 2: After checking into the hotel, the group spent the afternoon on a 4-wheel drive tour of Moorea with Torea Nui Tours. Heinui’s brother, Heimana, was one of our tour guides. We played in the river with blue-eyed eels, drove up the volcano to an amazing view of Moorea from Belvedere, visited an agricultural school and did a fruit liqueur tasting at the local distillery.
