THE KINGDOM OF  MOROCCO
The Kingdom of Morocco is in Northwest Africa.  The country is ruled by Mohammed VI as a monarchy with a Parliament.   The county is located on the Atlantic Ocean on the west and the Mediterranean Sea in the north.   The country is long and narrow and borders Algeria, Westerm Sahara and Mauritania.   The capitol of Morocco is Rabat and Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco.  The population as of 2024 is around 38 million and the religion of the country is Islam.  The currency is the dihram and Casablanca is a major cruise port.   The official languages are Arabic and Berber and the culture is a mix of Arab, Berber, African and European.   Morocco was a french protectorate from 1912 to 1956 and Morocco gained her independence in 1956.  Spain is across from the Strait of Gibralter to Morocco.  

In October I went on an amazing  trip to Morocco with Cherg Exeditions whose owner is Bren Mientka. I flew on Air Canada from SFO to Montreal and then it was a nonstop flight into Casablanca. We spent three nights in Casablanca, two nights in Fes, and then we headed into the Atlas Mountains, Midelt, rode a camel into the Sahara Desert where we spent the night in a luxury tent, then to  Ouazazatae and Marrakech and back into Casablanca.     We went from cities to small towns and went from the ocean to the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert and back to Casbablanca.
