 Barong and Kris Dance Video
Bali, Indonesia
When we were in Indonesia we visited Ubud where we saw the Barong and Kris dance performed.   The Barong is a lion-like creature who is king of the spirits, leader of the hosts of good, and enemy of Rangda, the demon queen and mother of all spirit guarders in the mythological traditions of Bali.   The battle between Barong and Rangda is featured in the Barong dance and represents the battle between good and evil.

Singapore Zoo Night Safari Fire Dancers
The Singapore Zoo has a wonderful night safari so you can see their nocturnal animals. Before your journey begins, you are treated to a performance of their fire dancers. 
 

Paul & Dana’s Avalon Waterways trip to Vietnam, Cambodia, Mekong River, Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Luang Prabang, Laos & Bangkok
Paul and Dana flew into Hanoi, then went with Avalon Waterways to Ha Long Bay in the Gulf of Tonkin, Ho Chi Minh City, then boarded a cruise which took them to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Wat Hatchek, Prek Dam, Konpong Louang, Siem Reap and the temples of Angkor Wat.  They then flew to Luang Prabang, Laos and then ended up in Bangkok, Thailand and flew home from there.  They said it was an amazing journey into Asia.  Paul’s pictures are amazing and give you a feel for what touring in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos is like.
