Beaches, beaches, beaches - that's one of the wonderful things about Perth! Perth has at its doorstep the Indian Ocean, and
there are 19 beaches along a 22-mile strip called the Sunset Coast. Below are some photos of just a few of them. Rottnest Island, a carless island, is another must-see.
Located 12 miles off shore, this is home of the quokkas, a small marsupial, and the waters around the island have coral reefs and 97 kinds of tropical fish - it's a great place to
snorkel! Other day trips - the Swan Valley wineries, the Perth Hills, Rockingham and New Norcia (a Spanish Renaissance town), which is home to 18 Benedictine monks.
