Circle Island Tour of Tahiti

Any travel agent can issue a ticket or book a cruise . . .
We create Travel Experiences . . . that extra effort is our hallmark!

Our favorite Tahitian, Angele, of Marama Tours, took our group on a Circle Island Tour of Tahiti.   Tahiti is the largest island and is shaped like a figure eight.  The largest part is called Tahiti Nui and is connected by the Isthmus of Taravao to the smaller section, Tahiti Iti.  The main road, which circles the island, is 73 miles long. Going around the island of Tahiti is like discovering the history of Tahiti & Her Islands.

Heinui and Angele's friend serenades us on our trip around the island.

Didi taught everyone that it was OK to pick the flowers in Tahiti and also taught them that if you put the flower behind your left ear it means you are taken, behind your right ear it means you are available and on the back of your head, it means - "Follow me"!

Angele fixed us our lunch of baguettes and ham and cheese.  But first we bought the ingredients at a local kiosk.   Didi knows all the inexpensive little shops - the  advantage of traveling with a "native"!

Pat picked avocados from the bus.

Sandy agreed that the casse croutes in Tahiti are the best!
