Tiki Village Theater on Moorea is a Polynesian show spectacular with performances of 60 dancers, artists, musicians, and their famous fire dancers. The theater and village was created by Olivier
Briac, 13 years ago when he created a Tahitian village where the people live and work. They share with visitors their homes, their art and their way of life.
As you arrive at Tiki Village Theater you will be welcomed to the sound of guitars and ukuleles, as the Tahitians take you on a visit to their village. You will witness the
opening of the Tahitian earth oven and will partake of the tamara'a (a meal cooked in a Tahitian underground oven). A welcoming punch cocktail is then served. During the meal you will enjoy Tahitian
specialties with freely flowing wine. Fei (cooked banana), Uru (Breadfruit), Taro (a root vegetable), Fafa (a chicken with spinach dish), Pua (pork), Poe (fruit baked in coconut milk), and an
international buffet with grilled meats and fish and a selection of delectable desserts. There will be a pareo demonstration where you are shown how to wear the Tahitian sarong by both the men
(tanes) and the women (vahines). After the performance the dancers thoroughly enjoy having their photos taken with their guests. Below are some photos of a memorable night at Tiki
Village.
