The Freycinet Peninsula is 129 miles northwest of Hobart and 134 miles southwest of Launceston. The peninsula is that little bit of land that juts off the east coast into the sea and is accessible from Coles Bay. Within the peninsula is Freycinet National Park, the pink granite peaks of the Hazards, Wineglass Bay, named one of the world’s top 10 beaches by Outside magazine, and the world-famous Freycinet Lodge. This is a wonderful area for hiking, swimming, kayaking, taking a sea cruise, spotting wildlife and many other outdoor activities.
