InterContinental Tahiti

Any travel agent can issue a ticket or book a cruise . . .
We create Travel Experiences . . . that extra effort is our hallmark!

Sunday, January 30, 2005:  We check into the InterContinental Beachcomber Tahiti which will become our home for the next three nights.   In the morning, we wake up to the beautiful view of Moorea across the Sea of the Moon.  Now everyone knows they are in paradise!  Below are some photos of this beautiful resort on the island of Tahiti.

The resort has a beautiful infinity pool and beyond that a lagoon which is stocked with fish. Click on the lagoon button above to see photos of our adventure with the fish.

Some of the flowers of Tahiti.  They are so fragrant!  These are Plumeria, or Frangipani.  If you wear a flower behind your left ear, it means you are taken but if you wear it behind your right ear it means you are available!

Besides having the garden, lagoon, and panoramic rooms (upper right), the resort also has overwater bungalows - the signature of Tahiti!

The pool has a waterfall at the end of it where you can sit and cool off.

One of the beaches at the resort.

Peggy and Jim celebrated their 35th anniversary in Tahiti.   They agree with everyone that Tahiti IS the most romantic place in the world!  They are from Minnesota and here they are in Tahiti enjoying the warmth while Minnesota had -10 degrees temperatures!  It can't get any better than that!

The lagoon where they feed the fish every morning and afternoon.  To see more pictures of this fun thing to do, click on the Lagoon Experience button above.

One of the bellboys at the InterContinental Tahiti.  He can schlepp my bags anytime!

The Tiki Bar at the resort where plenty of Hinanos were enjoyed!

Tattoos were everywhere!  Another one of the buffed bellboys at the hotel.  Our group was so inspired that four of them got tattoos in Moorea!  Photo by Pearl.

The sunsets can be magnificent in Tahiti and it's fun to sit on your balcony with a Hinano and watch the sun go down over Moorea!  The perfect ending to a beautiful day in paradise.
