	ARCTIC CIRCLE CEREMONY ON OUR WAY TO SEYDISFJORDUR We left Husavik and at 9:15 pm our ship touched the Arctic Circle at the island Grimsey. That evening we celebrated our crossing on the pool deck with schnapps and Icelandic specialties. We all received certificates commemorating touching the Arctic Circle. We arrived in Seydisfjordur, East Iceland, at 12 pm the following day




		Seydisfjordur is a town of 668 people in the fjord with the same name. From there we spent the day exploring East Iceland. The ferry Norraena sails to Denmark from this town. The trip takes 3 days. This is a view of the town as we entered the harbor.


	HALLORMSSTADASKOGUR NATIONAL FOREST In Iceland there is a joke. How can someone see you in a forest? Just stand up! The trees in Iceland are very small but they do have this national forest that we visited.




	It was strange to see tall trees after seeing so many little trees. Left: One of the trees was carved with this face.



	The wildflowers were beautiful. Lupine is in abundance.




	Lake Lagarfljot is next to the park.


	VOK BATHS Because of Iceland’s tradition of soaking in geothermal pools, we enjoyed this tradition at Vok Baths. They have three floating infinity pools each warmer than the other one. Located on the banks of Urrivatyn lake, Vox Baths is only a few minutes from the town of Egilsstadir. A must thing to do when you are in Iceland!




	After our soak, you can then relax in their bistro and enjoy the beautiful view.
